Urban settings are rich in food and culture, as well as attractions that appeal to a variety of individuals
Urban living holds endless opportunities for nearly every type of person. Why, do you ask? It’s simple. Urban settings are rich in food and culture, as well as attractions that appeal to a variety of individuals. Cities are also the primary hub for all of a state’s business and, therefore, people seek alternatives to the long commutes from the suburbs.
What most people find to be the biggest advantage to living in a city is the convenient availability to nearly anything you crave, want, need or desire. You can usually find yourself within walking distance to a bus, taxi or subway that can take you to popular restaurants, pubs, shops, museums, libraries and parks. But what is more important than having something different to do everyday is what each neighborhood is defined as specifically?
Every neighborhood is different when you live in the city, especially Chicago. You can find yourself in a neighborhood filled with homes painted in bright, vibrant colors that are decorated with abstract lawn decorations. Then, after only turning the corner, you’re standing in front of an all glass façade filled with giant modern condominiums. And 5 miles down the street there’s a community of homes that sit atop operating businesses.
Within these neighborhoods lie varying characteristics that define that particular area.
Heritage Homes has it’s own unique flavor in that it is surrounded by culture. Heritage Homes is located within minutes of Chicago’s Greektown and Little Italy. This community also has the most eclectic mix of new home designs and is quickly becoming the city’s most popular area to live. And Heritage Homes is close everything, public transportation, shops, convenience stores, parks, popular restaurants and pubs and the list goes on.
It is all these features that make city living appealing and why more and more people are flocking to the opportunity of urban living.

It is true about how much variety exists in the urban environment–especially in Chicago. I’m always amazed at how dramatically different neighborhoods can be block-to-block, and yet how it all seems to hang together.
I like the looks of the Heritage Homes’ buildings. They seem to be classic Chicago, but they have a contemporary twist to them. Historic but “mod”.
You know, in addition to the culture and food and stores, I think one of the best parts of living in the city is that your environmental impact is reduced. It’s kind of a new way of thinking, but living in the city is also “greener.”
Some great points were made in this article. My wife and I live pretty far out in the country, but have always had dreams of a more urban lifestyle (we go into the City, though even taking the commuter train can be taxing).
We’ve been thinking of making a move soon and certainly will consider Heritage Homes seeing as it has a great location and nearby conveniences.
I’ve always wanted to try living in the city, even if just for a year. And Heritage Homes being near Greektown and Little Italy sounds awesome.
Little Italy is one of my fav’s for wandering around the city. There is so much to see and do. Not to mention the food is to die for! It is one of my favorite neighborhoods!
My daughter wants to live in the city at some point. I believe Heritage Homes would be the perfect place for her.
I agree that having everything at your fingertips would be nice! There is always something going on in the city! Sometimes I like to wander around and see what I can find.
